About Marius

I'm Marius, and I write Print Photo Bench.

I started it because most "best photo printer" lists stop at the printer, and the printer is the cheap part. Ink and paper are the bill. So every page here starts from what the next print costs and works backward to the machine.

How I work

I read the spec sheets and the makers' own wording, pull ratings, rating counts and listing data from Amazon on a stated date, and run the numbers through the cost calculator. When I lean on someone else's measurements, such as RTINGS' color-error figures, I say so and link to them. The method is written out on How we rank.

What I haven't done

I haven't printed on these machines, and no page here says I have. That means you won't find lines about how a print felt or how loud a printer was. If that changes for a printer, its page will say what was tested and how.

What brands can't do

They can't buy a spot in a ranking. I earn a commission when you buy through the Amazon links, at no extra cost to you, which is why the disclosure sits on every page. See the affiliate disclosure.
