Canon PIXMA G620 MegaTank review
My verdictThe cheapest photo tank here with a proper photo ink set. It stops at 8.5 x 14, and the 3.9 rating says you should read the listing carefully.

Canon PIXMA G620 MegaTank in detail
The photo part of the name is earned
Canon uses six dye inks including red and gray, which is more than the four-color MegaTank models (the G3270 and G3290 on this site’s list are document-first machines). Canon rates a full set at up to 3,800 4 x 6 color photos, and puts ink cost at about 2.5 cents per print on the listing.
Small convenience, real one
Alexa integration reports low ink and can reorder, which is a gimmick until you have kids and run out the night before a deadline.
Reading the 3.9
The listing shows 3.9 from 1,200 ratings; a second listing for the same printer with a bundled paper shows a higher number from a tiny sample. I’d weight the big sample. A number doesn’t say why. Sort the listing by recent and critical reviews and see which complaints repeat before you decide.
Bottles and cost
Canon sells MegaTank bottles for it, but they weren’t in my data pull, so this site’s calculator uses Canon’s own 2.5-cent claim rather than a bottle price.
Where the G620 fits
It’s the cheapest photo tank here and the only one with a red channel. The Epson ET-8500 costs more, adds Ethernet and disc printing, and scores a little higher.
The catches
- Letter and legal only.
- The 3.9 average.
- Canon tank ink is Canon-only.
