Epson Expression Photo HD XP-15000 review
My verdictA budget doorway into 13 x 19. Old design, small cartridges, no frills. Buy it for occasional large prints, not for volume.

Epson Expression Photo HD XP-15000 in detail
What it is
Six-color Claria Photo HD ink with red and gray channels, print only, up to 13 x 19, and a 50-sheet rear tray that accepts card stock and specialty media. Epson says it’s about 30 percent smaller than its predecessor, which tells you how long ago it was designed.
Why it’s still in the conversation
Very few printers handle 13 x 19 at this price level. That’s the whole pitch. When RTINGS compared it with the PRO-200, it concluded the Canon is the much better printer, which squares with the price gap.
The listing shows 3.9 from 2,352 ratings, a big sample that says it’s a known quantity.
Running cost
Individual small cartridges. This site’s calculator uses roughly 40 cents of ink per 4 x 6 equivalent, the same as other Claria cartridge printers, so heavy use gets expensive quickly.
What the big sample can and can’t tell you
2,352 ratings means plenty of owners. It doesn’t tell you how current stock behaves, so sort the listing by most recent.
Where it fits
A 13 x 19 printer that doesn’t have a scanner, a tank or a pigment ink set. That’s the whole product. It’s fine as long as you buy it for that.
The catches
- Older design, so check availability and the seller.
- No scanner or copier.
- Small cartridges.

Can the XP-15000 print 13 x 19?
Yes, borderless prints up to 13 x 19 are the headline feature.
Should I buy a PRO-200S instead?
If you’ll print 13 x 19 more than a handful of times a year, probably yes.
Is the XP-15000 discontinued?
I can’t confirm that from my data. The listing was in stock when pulled. Check the seller and warranty before buying any older model.
